Campbell issues emphatic Cristiano Ronaldo verdict after Man United footage emerges
Kevin Campbell has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo’s “attitude has changed” at Man United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker suggested the 37-year-old has been forced to knuckle down after missing out on a summer move.
Ronaldo was a second-half substitute in Man United’s 3-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday (4 September).
As shown by UtdFaithfuls on Twitter (5 September), the Portugal captain issued a rallying call to his teammates after Mikel Arteta’s side equalised.
Ronaldo expressed to United his desire to leave for a Champions League club in the summer.
However, a move never materialised.
When asked by Football Insider if Ronaldo is back on board at Old Trafford, Campbell said: “Yes and that is because he is going nowhere.
“Whatever transfer business people were talking about did not materialise. He couldn’t get to a Champions League team.
“I think Man United have done the right thing keeping him. He will have a part to play. I have no doubt about it.

“I think he will get a runout on Thursday in the Europa League. They have got to utilise him. There will be an injury here and there so he will have to come in and do the business. He can score goals from all over the pitch.
“It is good business and you can see that his attitude has changed. That is because he is going nowhere. Everyone is happy when the results pick up.”
