Campbell: 'The legacy of Levy is haunting' Tottenham amid intriguing Romano manager update
Kevin Campbell has claimed “the legacy of Daniel Levy is haunting” Tottenham in their search for a new manager.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker suggested nobody wants to succeed Jose Mourinho in what he described as a “crazy” situation.
The London club have failed in their pursuit of Paulo Fonseca, Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers and Julian Nagelsmann.
According to Fabrizio Romano (18 June), Ernesto Valverde is the latest name to have been contacted by Spurs regarding their vacancy.
The 57-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by Barcelona in January 2020.
Campbell has watched a lot of the ex-Barca and Athletic Bilbao manager from his time working as a pundit for La Liga TV.

“This is getting crazy,” he told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs. “They really need to sort it out. It is unbelievable.
“Valverde did alright at Barcelona but I just do not know how he would fare at Tottenham. He has never managed in England.
“Yes, he was not a disaster at Barcelona but at the end of the day he ended up getting sacked.
“It is just a crazy one because it seems like nobody wants the job. For all of the laughing, joking and rivalry, Tottenham are a huge club. Something is not right there because nobody wants the job.
“The legacy of Daniel Levy is haunting them at the moment. This is crazy.”
