Campbell tips Bacuna to dazzle for Rangers and makes bold prediction

Kevin Campbell has tipped Juninho Bacuna to shine at Rangers ahead of his potential full debut tonight.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the 24-year-old will not find it hard to settle at Ibrox given Steven Gerrard’s side current form.

Rangers signed Bacuna from Huddersfield Town last month.

He made his Gers debut on Sunday as a late substitute in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell.

As quoted by the Glasgow Times (20th September), Gerrard said opportunities were “imminent” for the midfielder now that he is “fitter” and “more robust”.

The Light Blues take on Livingston tonight in the quarter final of the Scottish League Cup and Bacuna is in line for more minutes.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on Bacuna, Campbell said: “It sounds like we are going to see a lot of him very soon which is great because Bacunha is a very good player.

“I really think he is going to do well when he gets going. I can see him slotting in and finding his feet quickly.

“Listen, Rangers are top of the league and the reigning champions. When you play for a dominant team the chances of you doing well are a lot higher.

“There’s a lot of good midfielders at Rangers so he should enjoy playing in that team.”

Speaking last week, Gerrard said”: “He’s fitter, he’s more robust and he knows a little bit more about our style and how we want to play now.

“I think more opportunities for him are imminent.”
