Cantwell tipped to quit Rangers for good as Clement footage emerges – Fans react

Rangers fans are convinced Todd Cantwell will be sold this summer after an incident with Philippe Clement following the defeat to Celtic.

Footage shows the playmaker fuming at referee Nick Walsh at full-time, before Clement shoved him away in frustration at his behaviour.

The manager’s frustration has led many fans to insist that Cantwell, 26, will be moved on in the summer transfer window.

A 1-0 defeat at Hampden Park meant Gers are now five games without a win in the Old Firm, while Clement has failed to win any of his attempts.

Former Scotland forward Frank McAvennie told Football Insider on 24 May that Cantwell no longer has a future at Ibrox after his antics on and off the pitch – which have been repeated again.

Todd Cantwell to leave Rangers after ‘idiot’ antics v Celtic

As a result of the on-field frustrations following the game, fans believe his time at Rangers has come to an end, with the boss keen to move him on.

One fan went as far as labelling the Englishman an “idiot” and another picked up on his “honking” attitude, while others noted the boss’ frustration as a turning point in his future.

In other news, an ex-Rangers coach could now land a job in England.
