Caoimhin Kelleher responds to Keith Andrews announcement at Brentford

Keith Andrews has done an unbelievable job since earning his role as the permanent Brentford manager in the summer.

The Bees are sitting seventh in the Premier League after 27 matches, going toe-to-toe with the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool, being one of the surprises of the season.

Only Man City’s Erling Haaland has more goals than Igor Thiago, who continues to combine with Dango Ouattara and Kevin Schade, and Andrews deserves to be commended for all of their success.

In fact, Andrews has already been linked with a move further up the Premier League table due to his early victories, but Brentford have made an important statement about his future at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Keith Andrews commits his future to Brentford until 2032

Taking to Instagram (26 February), the official club account announced Andrews’ new contract at the Gtech Community Stadium, simply captioning the post, “KA x 2032”.

Since taking over from Thomas Frank in June, the 45-year-old has won 52 per cent of his matches, claiming 17 victories, drawing four and losing 12 across all competitions.

Clearly in support of his manager, Caoimhin Kelleher liked the post on social media, sharing the love as Andrews commits his future at the Gtech until 2032.

Supporters up and down the Premier League were baffled by the appointment of Andrews, but with the Bees sitting seventh in the table, the move has massively paid off, while Frank’s has completely failed.

What is Brentford’s best finish in the Premier League?

The 2025-26 campaign marks the Bees’ fifth in the Premier League, having won promotion to the top tier of English football in the 2020-21 season.

Since then, Brentford have finished 13th, 9th, 16th and 10th, most recently, with the potential for their best-ever finish in the top tier under an unexpected management style.

Liverpool are just five points ahead in the table currently, and with very winnable games coming up against Burnley, Bournemouth, Wolves and Leeds United, anything is possible.

Of course, only six points separate Andrews’ side from Brighton in 14th, so things can change very quickly in the Premier League, but there is growing hope at the Gtech this season.
