Brighton do not possess recall clause on Carl Rushworth loan deal

In recent weeks, it seems that multiple clubs are attempting to dismantle Coventry after their wonderful start to the season.

Multiple Premier League clubs are eyeing Frank Lampard, whose prestige has dramatically risen in recent months.

On top of this, Leeds are said to be interested in Haji Wright, who has been on fire this season.

However, it appears that Coventry will be able to keep hold of Rushworth at least until the end of the season.

According to Alex Crook via X on 16 December, despite speculation, Brighton do not possess a recall clause for the goalkeeper.

This was on the request of the player and his representative, as they want to have a full season at Coventry.

Rushworth’s Coventry form explained

According to Fotmob on 16 December, the goalkeeper has been in fine form this season for Coventry as they look to return to the top-flight.

To date, he has prevented 4.50 goals, while also saving 72.8 per cent of his shots.

Carl Rushworth’s Championship stats this season
Appearances 21
Clean sheets 8
Goals conceded 22
Save percentage 72.8%
Goals prevented 4.50
Rushworth has been excellent for Coventry this season

This has led to eight clean sheets in 21 Championship matches, with just 22 goals being conceded.

Given that the goalkeeper is just 24 years old, these are extremely promising stats for his age, with the upcoming star clearly having plenty of of potential.

Therefore, Coventry will be hoping to keep hold of Rushworth for next season, no matter the division they are in.
