Carlo Ancelotti to Tottenham verdict dropped by inside source
Tottenham have already begun their search for a new manager amid growing pressure on Ange Postecoglou after what has been a dismal season.
Now, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has become the latest boss to be linked with the role in what would be an ambitious move from the North London club.
Ancelotti is likely to leave Madrid at the end of the season upon the expiry of his contract, while Los Blancos are heading for a trophy-less season.
Now, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who made 175 appearances for the club and remains well-connected there, told Football Insider Ancelotti could be a contender.
However, while he may be among the names on their list, Tottenham will struggle to convince him without Champions League football while they remain 16th in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, ex-Tottenham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola is the current front-runner to replace Postecoglou.

Carlo Ancelotti linked to Tottenham after Postecoglou latest
While Ancelotti is seen as an ambitious target, his previous spell with Everton has led to suggestions he could be open to a return to the Premier League.
However, Football Insider revealed on 2 May that Postecoglou could stay at Tottenham as his future at the club has yet to be decided.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Robinson explained that Postecoglou remains in his role as things stand and will deserve to avoid the sack if he can lead his side to Europa League success.
“I haven’t given it any thought,” he told Football Insider.
“The man’s still in his job and I think if you succeed in a job you should be given the opportunity to continue in it.
“There’s a lot of good managers out there.
“If Ange loses his job, it means they won’t have won the Europa League so there will be no Champions League football for Tottenham.
“I’ll throw a name in there – Carlo Ancelotti if he is set to leave Real Madrid.
“But is he going to come to Tottenham without Champions League football, 17th in the Premier League with no money to spend?”

Scott Parker emerges as surprise Spurs candidate
Another name who has been linked with the potential vacancy at Spurs in recent weeks is Scott Parker, following an impressive season with Burnley.
Brown told Football Insider on 1 May that Parker has emerged as a contender for Tottenham and he has admirers behind the scenes in North London.
His Burnley side’s record of having conceded just 15 goals in 45 Championship games so far this season has caught the eye of several clubs looking at managers.
However, there are concerns about his record managing in the Premier League and other candidates are ahead of him in the pecking order as things stand.
