Jamie Carragher reacts to Liverpool win against Plymouth

Jamie Carragher praised the performances of Liverpool pair Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold on Wednesday night.
The Reds secured a narrow 1-0 victory against League Two opposition Plymouth in the FA Cup third-round replay.
Defender Lucas scored the winning goal in the first-half as he powered in a header from a Philippe Coutinho corner.
Jurgen Klopp made nine changes to his starting XI for the cup tie and gave several of his fringe players the chance to impress.
Ex-Liveprool defender Carragher highlighted the displays of teenager pair Gomez and Alexander-Arnold against Plymouth.

“Good results Liverpool and very good from Gomez and Alexander-Arnold,” Carragher wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Liverpool centre-back Gomez managed to help his side keep a valuable clean sheet on Wednesday and looked solid in defence.
The 19-year-old has recently returned from a serious knee injury which kept him out of action for nearly 15 months.
Gomez has now made two senior appearances since his return with both of them coming in the FA Cup and will now hope to force his way into Klopp’s starting XI on a more regular basis.
Alexander-Arnold is another Liverpool youngster who is expected to be a top player in the future.
The 18-year-old has shown in recent weeks that he could already be prepared for regular first-team action and has looked extremely composed for a teenager.
The right-back made his first Premier League start in the draw with Manchester United and delivered another assured display against Plymouth.
He is certainly set to apply some pressure on regular starter Nathaniel Clyne for the full-back position for the foreseeable future.
In other Liverpool news, a London side have joined the chase to sign the club’s defender.
