Casemiro has ‘played his last Man United game’ as deal lined up – sources
Man United expect Casemiro to sign for a Saudi Pro League club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The club are willing to sell at an “enormous loss” on the midfielder in order to get his massive salary off the wage bill.
Sources say a deal with a Saudi team is expected to be wrapped up in the upcoming transfer window, with the 32-year-old not likely to play for United again.
Casemiro attended United’s victory party following their 2-1 FA Cup final triumph over rivals Manchester City before boarding a private jet back to his native Brazil that night.
The Brazilian joined the Premier League giants from Real Madrid for a reported £60million fee with up to £10m in add-ons in the summer of 2022, having won three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues – among a host of other trophies – in his time with Los Blancos.
His two seasons at United have both yielded silverware, with Erik ten Hag’s men lifting the League Cup last term to go with their FA Cup in 2023/24.

However, Casemiro’s performances in his second campaign declined dramatically and drew plenty of criticism.
Coupled with his age, his poor recent displays make it unlikely that United will be able to recoup much of what they spent on the decorated defensive midfielder two years ago.
In other news, Dan Ashworth will face arbitration to seal his exit from Newcastle to join Man United.
