Casemiro shares Man United training update after he’s axed again
Man United midfielder Casemiro took to social media to share a training ground update ahead of their crucial Europa League clash with FCSB on Thursday (January 30).
The 32-year-old hasn’t made it off the bench for United’s previous six games across all competitions as Ruben Amorim’s side slowly climbs the Premier League and Europa League tables.
Casemiro’s last appearance came in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle, with the 20-time champions going on to win four, draw one, and lose one in the six games he’s missed.
Football Insider finance expert Stefan Borson has claimed Man United are working to “get him out” but the huge cost of his wages has been a major stumbling block to a deal up to now.
United’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Fulham lifted them to 12th, just four points off the top half, while their 2-1 European victory over Scottish giants Rangers moved them to fourth in the new-look league phase.
Amorim’s side will travel to Romania to face FCSB in their last league phase game of the season as they seek to avoid a potentially tricky two-legged play-off.
Casemiro remains committed after falling down the Man United pecking order
The veteran midfielder has struggled to make an impact at United this season, starting 16 of his 22 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and failing to provide an assist in his 1428 minutes of action.
Amroim doesn’t appear to have much faith in Casemiro, recently preferring Manuel Ugarte, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, and young Toby Collyer in his double-pivot.
Casemiro appears to be all smiles despite his recent lack of playing time, taking to Instagram to share an image of their most recent training session.

A win over Romanian side FCSB could see United finish as high as second in the Europa League league phase, with Champions League qualification in the offering should they win it outright.
Amorim’s attention will return to domestic affairs on Sunday (February 2) as they prepare to host strugglers Crystal Palace.
