Celtic forward shares encouraging fitness news ahead of clash v FC Astana

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has shared encouraging fitness news ahead of the club’s Wednesday evening clash against FC Astana.
The Hoops’ 26-year-old started on the bench in Friday evening’s Premiership clash against Partick Thistle and was also limited to just 32 minutes of action in the club’s previous Champions League encounter against Rosenborg after recovering from an injury.
This meant that Brendan Rodgers had to start usual winger James Forrest in the striker position with Moussa Dembele also in the treatment room.
However, Griffiths has told, as quoted by the official Celtic Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon that he is fully fit to play on Wednesday and that Rodgers was cautious over using him on Friday due to the importance of the Astana encounter.
???? LG: "I was fit to play on Friday but it’s such a massive game tomorrow that the manger wanted to take precautions. I’m fully fit now."

The Hoops did play against the Kazakhstan-based club in the last campaign during the qualifying stages, but they managed a slender 3-2 aggregate victory with two goals coming from Griffiths alongside a solo Dembele effort across both legs.
They will be hoping to make it much more comfortable this time around and Griffiths will certainly provide a huge boost to the Celtic team.
In other Celtic news, fans will be delighted after Rodgers shared this news on future of Hoops star.
