24-year-old playmaker starts in Rodgers 4-4-2: Celtic best possible XI v Bayern
By John Reid
Celtic’s best eleven against Bayern Munich would be far more attacking than the one that will probably play at Celtic Park tonight.
Craig Gordon would inevitably be in goals, with Kieran Tierney and Mikael Lustig in the full-back positions.
The centre-back pairing would be Dedryck Boyata and Nir Bitton.
Bitton and Boyata aren’t the ideal partnership, but needs must in an emergency.
In midfield, the captain Scott Brown would be in the side, alongside the mercurial Tom Rogic.

Rogic, who on his day is a class above any other player in Scotland, deserves a chance to show his guile and skill against the very best.
On the wings, Scott Sinclair and James Forrest would be the key men, hopefully creating chances and running at the Bayern defenders.
Up-front, Moussa Dembele, partnered with Leigh Griffiths. It’s the Champions League – you may as well have a go.
This team might not keep a clean sheet, but it would excite the fans and with the home atmosphere behind them, they could even create a shock.
