Midfielder back after being axed for Glasgow derby: Celtic best possible XI v Brechin

Craig Gordon (Goalkeeper) – The much-criticised number one was partly responsible for the draw against Rangers thanks to a series of good saves, he might get some praise from fans for once
Mikael Lustig (Rght-back) – Looked like a player who badly needed a rest in the match against Rangers, hopefully the winter-break in Dubai will have done him the world of good
Kristoffer Ajer (Centre-back) – The 19-year-old has been solid in defence since replacing Jozo Simunovic in the Hoops defence, deserves to be a mainstay in the side at the moment
Dedryck Boyata (Centre-back) – Isn’t playing as well as Ajer but will start ahead of the injured Compper and the out-of-form, faces a fight to keep his place in the team once Compper is fit
Kieran Tierney (Left-back) – Needed the winter break more than any other player, he looked exhausted against Rangers, hopefully will be refreshed and recharged for the months ahead
