Celtic duo causing ‘major’ issue ahead of Rangers clash – ‘Rodgers is worried’, says pundit
Celtic wingers Nicolas Kuhn and Luis Palma need to get back in form before their Rangers showdown.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton admitted the pair’s form has “dwindled” in recent weeks, which could prove a real issue ahead of their Old Firm clash next month (7 April).
After a strong opening to the season, Palma has scored just one league goal in his last 12 outings, while Kuhn is yet to fully convince the Parkhead faithful despite a strong outing in the Scottish Cup quarter-final against Livingston on Sunday (10 March).
The Old Firm tie could prove to be a title decider, with Philippe Clement’s side two points ahead of the Hoops just two games before the Ibrox meeting.
Celtic stars Nicolas Kuhn and Luis Palma have “dwindled”
Hutton claimed Brendan Rodgers will be worried about the form of his wide attackers heading into the clash.
“Not that long ago, it seemed like Celtic had seven or eight wingers,” he told Football Insider.
“It’s dwindled a lot recently and their form has not been ideal.
“Liel Abada has just left even though I was surprised that they let him leave when he can gives you so much on the pitch.
“With Palma, I thought he was carrying a knock during his last game!
“Kuhn has come in and has not really hit the heights of what fans were expecting.
“There are issues, especially ahead of the Rangers game at Ibrox.

“They need to be hitting form and get their wingers firing before then.
“It’s obviously a major issue for Rodgers now, he’ll be worried.”
