Celtic Exclusive: RB Leipzig well placed to sign Nicolas Kuhn
RB Leipzig have the financial muscle to land Celtic star Nicolas Kuhn despite failing to qualify for European competition, sources have told Football Insider.
The Bundesliga giants are keen on bringing Kuhn, 25, back to the club after their seventh-place finish last term.
Leipzig will not play continental football in the 2025-26 campaign but their transfer budget is set for a major boost nevertheless.
Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simons are among the stars being lined up for potential moves and their exits could hold the key to a potential swoop for Kuhn.
Sesko and Simons moves could pave way for Leipzig’s Kuhn deal
However, a final decision on the move will come down to Celtic and the player with the Hoops potentially able to offer Champions League football – if they can navigate through their qualifying campaign.
Brendan Rodgers‘ side are in a strong position to keep him at Parkhead, with his contract in Glasgow set to run until May 2029.
Kuhn was previously at Leipzig between 2015 and 2018 during his youth development, but earned the move to Scotland after impressing with Rapid Vienna.

Celtic stand to make a huge profit on the winger after spending a fee of just £3million to land him last January.
Rodgers is keen to be backed in the summer window and also wants to keep his star-studded squad together as he plans another assault on Europe next term.
Kuhn hit 21 goals and notched 15 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions for Celtic in the 2024-25 campaign, starting in 41 of those outings.

Celtic could seal bargain deal for winger
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (15 June) that Celtic are well-placed to agree a deal to sign Royal Antwerp winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
Balikwisha, 24, has been a long-term target for Rodgers and they have now been given encouragement over the deal – as Antwerp are dealing with financial issues.
Celtic could pull off a “bargain” deal for Balikwisha as Antwerp value him at around £5millon.
