Celtic expected 4-2-3-1 to face Ross County: 20-year-old dropped in two changes

By Matt Bullin

Brendan Rodgers is expected to make two changes to his side as they take on Ross County in the Scottish Premiership this Sunday.

Moussa Dembele is expected to return to the starting XI to replace 20-year-old Patrick Roberts up top. The Frenchman will hope to add to his 32 goals in all competitions against County.

Meanwhile Kouassi Eboue will likely start in place of Callum McGregor, who was substituted late on last time out as the Hoops beat Kilmarnock 3-1.

Rodgers is expected to name the same back five as he did against Kilmarnock as Craig Gordon starts in goal, behind a back four of Mikael Lustig, Josip Simunovic, Dedryck Boyata and Kieron Tierney.

Celtic’s heartbeat Scott Brown will likely be joined by 19-year-old Eboue in the middle of the park, as Rodgers gives the youngster a chance against eighth placed County.

The three in-behind Dembele is expected to be unchanged as Scott Sinclair will look to continue his impressive form alongside James Forrest and the ever-present Stuart Armstrong.

A win for Celtic will bring them one step closer to completing a whole Premiership season unbeaten, while an unlikely victory for County will keep their top-half finish hopes alive.
