Celtic expected 4-2-3-1 v Dundee: 20-year-old omitted

Celtic are expected to make no changes to their starting line -up against Dundee on Sunday.

The Bhoys travel to Dundee for a Scottish Premiership clash and can take a giant stride towards the league title with a victory.

Brendan Rodgers is set to make no alterations from the team that drew 1-1 against Old Firm rivals Rangers in their last game, which was only the second time they have dropped league points this season.

That means that 20-year-old Patrick Roberts is expected to start on the bench once again.

The winger recently returned from a knee injury and made a cameo appearances against Rangers, but James Forrest is set to continue ahead of him.

Celtic’s number one Craig Gordon is likely to continue in goal, while Rodgers will be available to field his strongest possible defence.

Kieran Tierney and Mikael Lustig are set to start in the full-back positions, plus Erik Sviatchenko and Dedryck Boyata making up the centre-back partnership.

Celtic’s midfield engine is expected to be the familiar pairing of Nir Bitton and Scott Brown.

Meanwhile, Celtic’s goal scorer against Rangers, Stuart Armstrong, is set to continue in the advanced midfield position.

That leaves attackers Scott Sinclair and James Forrest as the winger, plus 32-goal sensation Moussa Dembele leading the line.
