Celtic are expected to make two changes to their team as they welcome St. Johnstone to Parkhead on Saturday.
Senior duo Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig are likely to be the only players that started in last weekend’s 5-1 thrashing of Rangers to miss out of the Parkhead clash.
Brown begins his two-game suspension against the Saints while Brendan Rodgers ruled Lustig out of the fixture in a press conference on Wednesday.
Nir Bitton is expected to return to the starting line-up in the place of the Hoops captain while Cristian Gamboa could be handed his first start in over a month due to Lustig’s absence.
Craig Gordon is likely to keep his place in goal while Kieran Tierney, Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic could play alongside the Costa Rican right-back in the defence.
Bitton could be joined by Stuart Armstrong in the centre of midfield while Callum McGregor can be expected to fulfil the No 10 role once again after scoring against Rangers last Saturday.
Scott Sinclair and Partick Roberts might play on the wings with Leigh Griffiths up front as Moussa Dembele is likely to be miss the rest of the league campaign.
Rodgers will be looking to avoid defeat against Tommy Wright’s side this weekend in order to keep alive the Bhoys’ hopes of finishing the campaign unbeaten.
The Hoops have won all three meetings with St. Johnstone this season, scoring ten goals in the process.
The Saints have won five of their last seven games going into the fixture though and can keep alive their chances of earning a Europa League spot if they can cause an upset.
In other Celtic news, Rodgers has said that this Hoops ace is the most influential player in Scotland.
