Celtic expected XI v Hamilton: Five changes as Rodgers rotates for midweek clash

Celtic return to Scottish Premiership action at home to Hamilton on Wednesday, as their busy December schedule continues.

The Hoops will no doubt be hoping to amends after throwing two points away against Hibs in a 2-2 draw at Easter Road on Sunday.

Celtic defeated Hamilton 4-1 back in September, with Stuart Armstrong, Odsonne Edouard and two goals by Scott Sinclair handing Brendan Rodgers’ men all three points.

The Bhoys will be looking to maintain their five point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, although they do still have a game in hand over nearest challengers Rangers and Aberdeen.

With so many matches in such a short space of time, it wouldn’t be completely surprising if Rodger five changes for the game to rotate his squad, bringing in Dorus de Vries for Craig Gordon, Nir Bitton for Jozo Simunovic, Armstrong for Callum McGregor, Jonny Hayes for James Forrest and Moussa Dembele for Edouard.

This is the team that Football Insider expects to see at the start of the game at Celtic Park.
