Celtic expert on Kyogo Furuhashi sealing Premier League move amid ‘frightening’ new verdict
Frank McAvennie has played down the chances of Kyogo Furuhashi completing a move from Celtic to the Premier League this summer.
The former Hoops and West Ham striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed that while the 28-year-old’s pace would “frighten” defences in the English top flight – he may not have the strength to compete.
This site revealed on Sunday (12 February) that Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on Celtic star Furuhashi ahead of the summer window.

The Japan international has scored 42 goals from just 66 matches as a regular starter since joining the Hoops – including a tally of 22 goals so far this season.
He has just over two years left on his contract at Parkhead – but Celtic could now move to extend his stay following whispers of Premier League interest.
The Glasgow giants are no stranger to losing players south of the border – with Kieran Tierney, Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Virgil van Dijk all departing for England.
When asked if Furuhashi could make a Premier League move this summer, McAvennie told Football Insider‘s Charlotte Cohen: “I don’t think so.
“I think everyone in that Celtic team is capable of moving to the Premier League. But it’s the same as Postecoglou, I can’t see it happening yet.
“You can never say never in football.
“Kyogo won’t be here forever, but I think he’s still got unfinished business.
“It’s a good sign when the manager and his players are being targeted. You want that because it means they’re doing well.

“This Celtic team are all having fun and they’re so together at the moment.
“I’m sure his pace would frighten people in the Premier League. But I’m not sure he has the strength to play in England.”
