Celtic fans have aired their delight on Twitter after young midfielder Kundai Benyu was named in the starting line-up for the first time in Tuesday evening’s Scottish League Cup clash against Kilmarnock.
The 19-year-old Englishman made the switch to Glasgow in the summer after his contract expired at English Championship club Ipswich.
He was announced to have signed a four-year contract at the Hoops and there was excitement around his signing after it was reported that Celtic had beaten such sides as Tottenham to him.
Now, Celtic fans are looking forward to getting an extended look at what Benyu has to offer and many have tipped him for success in the clash against Kilmarnock.

Benyu has made two appearances for the Celtic first team since joining with both coming from the bench in qualifying matches against Linfield and Rosenborg.
He was unable to have much of an affect on either match with his time out on the pitch totalling 25 minutes in both, but he will be hoping to make a mark against Premiership side Kilmarnock, who started the campaign with a 2-1 defeat against St. Johnstone on Saturday.
In other Celtic news, a BBC journalist has reported that this Premier League attacker will tell his club that he wants a move to the Hoops.
