Celtic fans took to Twitter to support the decision to give Cristian Gamboa his Hoops debut against Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
Brendan Rodgers has made two changes from the weekend’s action as Gamboa and Patrick Roberts replace Tom Rogic and James Forrest.
The 26-year-old arrived at Parkhead this summer on a three-year deal from Premier League side West Brom.
The defender will be facing Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar who start together for first time this season.

Rodgers’ side have made a strong start to life in the Scottish Premier League this season after picking up 12 points from their first four games.
The Celts will be confident going into the fixture after beating arch rivals Rangers 5-1 at home on Saturday.
Rodgers will be aiming to guide his side to their sixth successive domestic title win but his main aim will be progressing well in the Champions League this term.
The Glasgow giants have beat the Lincoln Red Imps, FC Astana and Hapoel Be’er Sheva to reach the group stages of the competition.
