Celtic fans deliver instant reactions to confirmed ‘next permanent manager’ news
Celtic have given their supporters an update on their managerial search, with the Hoops set to return to action this weekend at St Mirren.
Brendan Rodgers’ resignation at Celtic has left the club without a permanent manager for the past four matches, with Martin O’Neill taking charge of the team.
Wilfried Nancy has been a front runner for the Celtic job, whilst Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna and Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen are also in contention.
Celtic have been urged to get this appointment right, with the club currently seven points behind Hearts in the Scottish Premiership title race.

Celtic provide update on managerial search
Taking to social media, [17 November], Celtic released a statement to supporters confirming that O’Neill, and his assistant manager Shaun Maloney, would continue to take charge of the team until an appointment is made.
O’Neill is happy to stay at Celtic, and the 73-year-old has won won three of his four games so far, including victory over Rangers at Hampden Park to secure progression to the Scottish League Cup final.
Whilst some supporters are happy to see O’Neill remain at the club, many believed it could come down to the board’s refusal to pay the compensation to Nancy’s club, Columbus Crew.
