Kouassi Eboue had a 22-minute runout in Celtic’s 2-1 win against Dundee on Sunday – and fans took to Twitter to pan his display.

Celtic moved a giant step closer to the Scottish Premiership title with their 27th victory from 29 league matches this season.

Goals from Jozo Simunovic and Stuart Armstrong secured a scrappy triumph for Brendan Rodgers’ side that got them back to winning ways following last weekend’s draw against Rangers.

One note of disappointment was a ragged cameo from Eboue, a £3million January signing, who replaced Callum McGregor after 68 minutes of the clash.

Supporters on social media were universally unimpressed by the display of central midfielder Eboue in what was his second appearance for the club.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

It was only the second appearance in a Hoops shirt for the 19-year-old Ivorian after his other substitute display in the SFA Cup win over St Mirren earlier this month.

Eboue was hailed as a Champions League calibre signing by Rodgers when he joined from FK Krasnodar in the winter window two months ago.

In other Celtic news, the club have agreed to sign a proven Premier League performer with vast experience of the English top flight.
