Celtic fans have torn into midfielder Olivier Ntcham on Twitter for his dire performance in the 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
Ntcham took up his usual position in the starting line-up to take on the German titans in the Champions League clash in Bavaria, but did little to show that he has what it takes to step up to the required levels against the bigger sides like Bayern.
The Frenchman played alongside the returning Scott Brown but was powerless to stop the Germans from dictating the tempo of the game and pinning the visitors in their own half for long spells.
Hoops fans on social media weren’t afraid to savage Ntcham during the game, with one dubbing the ex-Manchester City midfielder as “honking.”
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Still wondering what Ntcham brings to our midfield, like really wondering?!?!?

Hartson and Hargreaves said Ntcham, didn't see that at all, thought he was very poor and wasteful on the ball, and not for the first time

Delighted Ntcham is only a £5m player. For another £1m we might have got a footballer.

Good news from NASA. Olivier Ntcham's shot has settled into a stable orbit around Izzy's penalty against Dundee.

After Wednesday’s loss, Ntcham’s Celtic sit third in their Champions League group, three points behind second-placed Bayern and six short of leaders Paris Saint-Germain after they beat Anderlecht 4-0 in Brussels with Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani stealing the show.
Europa League football looks to be the most realistic option for the Hoops and they will no doubt be looking towards their Parkhead clash with Anderlecht on Matchday 6 in December to seal their third placed spot.
In other Celtic news, Jim Craig has made a shocking claim about this Hoops player.
