Celtic fans in Adam Idah meltdown after cryptic social media hint
Celtic fans think a deal for Adam Idah to make a permanent move to Parkhead is imminent after a new image emerged on social media.
The Norwich City striker shared a picture of a runway captioned simply with an aeroplane emoji, kicking off speculation about his likely destination.
Despite the fact the Canaries were due to set off on their pre-season tour of Belgium, Celtic fans are convinced that Idah was travelling to Glasgow.
Idah has been at the top of the Hoops’ list of signings this summer after a successful loan spell, with supporters begging for a deal to be reached.
Football Insider revealed on 9 July that a new bid would be made for the striker as sources said both sides are keen on the move, with a £6million bid likely to be enough.
Celtic fans think Adam Idah deal is imminent after social media hint
Idah spent six months at Parkhead after arriving in January, helping them to pip Rangers to the SPFL title and to lift the Scottish Cup.
In 19 Celtic appearances, the Irish striker scored nine goals and provided two assists.
As a result of his impressive spell, supporters are desperate for him to return, and the cryptic post on social media did nothing to ease that demand.
Some fans went as far as to begin tracking flights and searching whether any private jets were scheduled to arrive in Glasgow that morning.
Others, however, weren’t so impressed with his antics, calling for the deal to be called off.
In other news, Martin Dubravka has been told to leave Newcastle.
