Celtic fans ‘over the moon’ at news of Odsonne Edouard return
Celtic fans are split over the potential signing of Odsonne Edouard after the Crystal Palace striker was linked with a return to Parkhead.
Reports suggested that Crystal Palace are prepared to let the 26-year-old leave this summer, with separate reports stating that the Hoops could be interested in his signature.
This led to debate amongst fans about whether they would prefer to bring Edouard back to the club or seal a permanent move for Adam Idah.
Football Insider revealed that Idah is “very keen” to make his loan move at Parkhead permanent, with Norwich quoting a £5million fee.
Edouard, on the other hand, would reportedly cost £20million.
Odsonne Edouard tipped for sensational Celtic return
The Frenchman scored 87 goals and provided 38 assists in 179 games for Celtic, but has struggled in the Premier League, scoring just 21 in 101 games, while providing five assists.
Fans were split over the choice between Edouard and Idah.
However, with fond memories of Edouard’s time at Parkhead, many supporters have called for him to be reunited with Brendan Rodgers this summer.
On the other hand, many preferred a move to sign Idah, with Edouard slammed for his attitude before leaving the club.
In other news, Celtic have been tipped to open a “huge” gap over Rangers this summer.
