'Cover of FIFA 18' - Celtic fans rave about 25-year-old after display v Hearts

By Danny Wright

Celtic fans are raving about the performance of Stuart Armstrong against Hearts on Saturday.

The 25-year-old scored the third goal of their 5-0 win which secured a sixth consecutive league title.

Scott Sinclair bagged a stunning hat-trick and Patrick Roberts also found himself on the score sheet.

Armstrong scored with a thunderous striker from the edge of the Hearts penalty area in the 55th minute to put the win beyond doubt.

It was the fourth time he has found the net in as many league games to bring his goal scoring tally for the campaign up to 13 in 39 appearances in all competitions.

The newly-capped Scotland international was utilised in a deeper role by manager Brendan Rodgers during the win as Callum McGregor played in the No 10 role which Armstrong has occupied for most of the season.

However it didn’t stop him from showcasing his brilliant range of passing as well as his high work-rate as he combined well with Scott Brown in the middle of the park.

Celtic fans cannot seem to get enough of their midfield star and took to social media during the game to wax lyrical about his performance.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Bhoys faithful about Armstrong’s performance:
