Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has left Celtic fans baffled after deciding to pick Mikael Lustig in his side to face Aberdeen on Sunday after his nightmare against Zenit St. Petersburg on Thursday night in the Europa League.
The Swedish full-back struggled against the Russians all night and fans had hoped he would be axed from the side to face Derek McInnes’ Dons in the huge Pittodrie clash.
The Hoops starting XI was confirmed by the club’s official Twitter account.

Brendan Rodgers’ side need to get over their European disappointment following their 3-0 defeat in Russia by getting back to winning ways against the Dons with Old Firm rivals Rangers now only six points behind the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership table.
Celtic fans were distraught to see the World Cup-bound star in the starting XI – with one fan saying the Swede has been “murder” all season long.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Gamboa needs another chance

Is Ralston injured? Gamboa would be better in for lustig right now. He has been murder all season long. Surely Rodgers you can see this?

Hoops fans would rather have seen Rodgers start Christian Gamboa or Anthony Ralston at right-back against the Dons but the Celtic boss has kept faith with the 31-year-old Lustig.
Lustig has made 39 appearances for the Hoops this season as they look to repeat last season’s domestic treble and become to first Scottish team to win back-to-back trebles.
