Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has named Leigh Griffiths in his starting XI to face Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on Saturday – and fans aren’t impressed the 27-year-old is in ahead of Moussa Dembele.
Dembele has missed much of this season but has recently recovered from injury and fans are desperate to see him restored to the starting XI, which his latest omission seeming to really annoy the fanbase.
The Hoops confirmed the team news on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off.

The French Under-21 striker was Celtic’s top goalscorer last season and wowed fans in a phenomenal debut season with the Scottish champions.
Griffiths has led the line for the Hoops this season but has been off the boil in recent games.
The Scotland star struggled to get involved against Bayern and many were expecting he would make way for Dembele at the national stadium to face Hibs.
Instead, Rodgers has stuck with Griffiths and fans aren’t happy with the Northern Irish boss – with one suggesting that he is “scared” to drop the ex-Wolves forward.

Griffiths has scored seven times in seventeen appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side but hasn’t scored since the 3-0 win over Anderlecht last month.
Celtic are currently on a 59-game unbeaten run in domestic competitions and a win over Neil Lennon’s Hibs will book their place in next month’s League Cup final against Rangers or Motherwell.
In other Celtic news, this full-back is in a race for fitness on Saturday.
