Celtic fans react on Twitter to Rangers defeat against Kilmarnock

Celtic fans have taken to social media to poke fun at their age old rivals Rangers after they suffered a 2-1 loss to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

The Gers were 1-0 ahead thanks to a Declan John goal before two quick-fire goals from Kris Boyd gave Killie a deserved win in the second-half.

The match was the first since Graeme Murty was appointed Rangers manager until the end of the season.

Many fans took to Twitter to praise Kris Boyd, with once describing him as a “legend”.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter:

The defeat see the Gers remain in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, eight points behind current leaders Celtic.

Murty has presided over two defeats in a row, after the 3-1 loss to St Johnstone at Ibrox last week.

The Hoops have a chance to go 11 points clear of their old rivals if they defeat Aberdeen in the top of the table clash at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys then take on Dundee on Boxing Day before facing Rangers at Celtic Park on the 30th of December in the last game before the winter break.

The first ‘Old Firm’ match this season saw the Hoops win 2-0 thanks to goals from Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths.
