Celtic fans react on Twitter to Kristoffer Ajer display against Rangers
By Harry Sykes
Kristoffer Ajer helped to keep Rangers at bay for Kilmarnock on Wednesday night – and Celtic fans took to Twitter to hail his display.
The 18-year Celtic player is on loan at Rugby Park for the second half of the season and has made a sound impression for the Scottish Premiership minnows.
Ajer played the full 90 minutes for Kilmarnock at centre-back against Rangers and helped his club secure a 0-0 draw against the big-hitting visitors as well as extend their unbeaten run to four matches.
Celtic supporters took to social media to analyse his display, with some claiming he is making such an impact he should be in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI next season.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Ajer joined Kilmarnock in January on a loan deal that runs until the end of the season.
In total, the versatile teenager has made 11 appearances for Lee McCulloch’s team, with all of them in his new central defensive position.
The Norwegian was regarded as a midfield anchorman when he joined Celtic in January 2016 but Rodgers is convinced that his future lies at centre-back.
Rangers have lost ground in the race to finish second in the league over the last week, during which Aberdeen have secured two consecutive Aberdeen victories.
Pedro Caixinha’s third-placed side have drawn twice in a row and are now 13 points adrift of Derek McInnes’ team with just seven matches of the campaign remaining.
In other Rangers news, one of the club’s midfielders has agreed the terms of a mammoth new deal.
