Cristian Gamboa played 85 minutes for Celtic on Tuesday night – and the club’s supporters were disappointed with his performance.
Celtic earned a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League, but still face an uphill battle to remain in Europe.
Lars Stindl scored the opener in the first-half for the host after converting a cross from Thorgan Hazard, but Moussa Dembele earned a point by converting a penalty after the break.
The result leaves the Bhoys bottom of their European group and they will need at least one win against Barcelona or Manchester City in their remaining games to stay in Europe.
Brendan Rodgers’ side may now be targeting an unlikely third-placed finish in the group, which would drop them down into the Europa League.
Celtic produced a much strong second-half performance and pushed for a winning goal which they failed to find.
Celtic fans were particularly angry with the display of defender Gamboa and believe he struggled to make a positive impact.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Weve been so sloppy, Gamboa is honestly rotten and Forrest is away hiding AGAIN. #bmgcel

Gamboa must be up there with the top 5 worst players to wear a Celtic Jersey

For a reputed speedster Gamboa never seems to want to take his man on, always passes backward, and is frequently out of position.Poor option

Brendan Rodgers made just one change to his side with Gamboa replacing the injured Jozo Simunovic in the starting XI.
Celtic signed full-back Gamboa in the summer transfer window from West Brom as Rodgers looked to strengthen his squad.
Gamboa, 27, has made 51 appearances for Costa Rica and has two years of experience in the Premier League.
The defender has made just nine appearances for the Scottish champions since his arrival and is competing with team-mate Mikael Lustig for a starting position.
In other Celtic team news, Chris Sutton has delivered a Twitter verdict on the club’s midfield duo.
