Celtic fans react on Twitter to Rogic starting v Ross County

By Dominic Toner

Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic was recalled to the starting line-up against Ross County – and the club’s supporters were thrilled with the decision on Twitter.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined with a long-term ankle injury and has not started a league fixture since December.

The Australia international has made two cameo appearances from the bench recently, but will mark his full comeback in the league match against Ross County.

Brendan Rodgers has decided to make three changes from the team that beat Kilmarnock 3-1 in their last game.

Rogic, Moussa Dembele and Erik Sviatchenko have been restored to the side, while Dedryck Boyata, Michael Lustig and Patrick Roberts drop out.

Celtic fans were delighted that Rogic has returned to full fitness and has been included in the starting XI on Sunday.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Rogic had been in sensational form before his injury setback and has watched on from the sidelines as his side clinched the league title in style.

The attacking midfielder has made 29 appearances this season so far, scoring 10 goals and supplying five assists in return.

The Bhoys face Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final next Sunday and Rogic will be hoping to force his way into the starting line-up for that team.

Rodgers has managed to find a winning formula this campaign and is set for a difficult team selection ahead of the Old Firm match.

However, he will be fully focused on beating Ross County in their upcoming game and preserving their unbeaten domestic status.
