'He's a nobody', 'Poor lad' – Celtic fans react on Twitter after Rangers complete signing
Rangers signed QPR midfielder Sean Goss on a season-long loan and Celtic fans took straight to social media to discuss the Ibrox new boy.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined QPR 12 months ago in a £500,000 move from Manchester United but has struggled to make much of an impact on the first-team at Loftus Road.
With the Gers struggling for numbers in recent weeks after injuries to Graham Dorrans, Jordan Rossiter and Ryan Jack, Goss gives manager Graeme Murty more depth in midfield going into the second-half of the Scottish Premiership campaign.
Celtic fans seemed less than impressed with the Gers’ latest signing – with one fan calling him a “nobody.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Goss made six appearances for QPR last season after his move from Old Trafford.
During his time at Man United, Goss – who lived with current Rangers Under-20’s midfielder Jordan Thompson – was part of United’s summer tour to America and played against PSG in July 2015, replacing veteran midfielder Michael Carrick.
He also made the bench against Watford in the Premier League but never made a competitive appearance for United before joining QPR.
The 22-year-old was born in Germany but moved to England aged eight to sign with Exeter City.
