'Pure class' - Celtic fans blown away by performance of midfielder v Aberdeen

By Danny Wright

Celtic fans on Twitter were left completely amazed by the performance of Tom Rogic in the 3-0 hammering of Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday night.

Rogic, 24, was drafted in to start his first game since September and showed Brendan Rodgers that he had been wrong to have overlooked him in recent fixtures.

The Australian international got the ball rolling for the Bhoys when his brilliant touch played in Moussa Dembele, who went on to give Kieran Tierney the chance to opening the scoring with a thunderbolt of a strike.

Dembele was on the scoresheet twice after to see the Bhoys go three points clear at the top of the table but it was the performance of Rogic that got fans really talking.

Supporters were blown away by the Aussie, who constantly troubled the Dons defence and was unlucky to have not scored a goal himself as he had several decent pops at goal with his famous left foot.

One fan dubbed the midfielder as being “pure class” after his impressive shift.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Rogic has made 20 appearances for Celtic across all competitions this season, scoring four goals and supplying six assists in the process.

With a game against Bayern Munich at Parkhead on the horizon, Rodgers must consider Rogic for a start as his physical presence and ability on the ball means he could be the difference in helping the Hoops get up the pitch.

In other Celtic news, the Hoops have jetted out on a mission to gear up their pursuit of this goalscoring defender who was valued at £17million less than 12 months ago.
