'Should be the end', 'Calamity' - Celtic fans destroy player for display v Aberdeen (not Lustig)
Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic’s performance in the 2-0 win over Aberdeen in Sunday’s Scottish Premiership clash was the final straw for some Hoops fans with calls for the defender to be axed on Twitter.
Simunovic struggled throughout the clash with Derek McInnes’ side and gave away a number of dangerous free-kicks to the Dons.
Injuries to Dedryck Boyata and Marvin Compper have left Brendan Rodgers little other choice but to stick with the central defender.
Celtic fans were left wondering what has happened to the defender after impressing earlier this season – with one fan calling him an “absolute calamity.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Celtic gone out of the game in last 10 mins. Giving away a lot of silly needless free kicks. Jozo in particular giving away foul after foul. Set piece is Aberdeens best hope. Need to step things up again and finish this game strongly

Big Jozo doesn't look that comfortable today.

I would seriously put Hendry on. Jozo is determined to throw this away.

As soon as Boyata and Commper are fit that should be the end of Jozo and Lustig

The 23-year-old Bosnian international has made 26 appearances this season for Brendan Rodgers’ side as they look to win a back-to-back domestic treble.
Simunovic has already lifted two Scottish titles, two Scottish League Cups and a Scottish Cup during his time at Celtic Park.
The central defender joined the Hoops from Dinamo Zagreb in 2015 and has played 77 times for the Scottish champions.
Sunday’s win over Aberdeen restored the Parkhead side’s nine-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table over Old Firm rivals Rangers with the Dons sitting three points further back in third.
Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney found the net in each half as the Hoops stormed to victory despite Mikael Lustig’s red card.
