Pedro Caixinha has been granted permission to join Rangers from Qatari club Al-Gharafa – and Celtic fans on Twitter have mocked their rivals.
Al-Gharafa confirmed on their official Twitter account on Thursday afternoon that they have reached an agreement with the Gers for Caixinha to join the club.
The 46-year-old will replace Mark Warburton in the Ibrox dugout after he resigned from his post in February with under-20 coach Graeme Murty taking charge of first-team duties since.

There is no surprise that the club’s Old Firm rivals mocked the soon to be appointed Caixinha.
One Bhoys fan asked whether or not Caixinha has actually agreed to join their neighbours given the manner in which Warburton left the club.
In early February, Rangers announced that Warburton had resigned from his post but the former Brentford boss continually denied that he had left the club in that manner.
Nonetheless, another supporter asked where the Portuguese will be sitting for the Celtic and Rangers clash at the weekend.
The reason for this is because a video emerged online of Caixinha thanking his ‘Celtic brothers’ in 2015 and the Hoops fans couldn’t help but continue to mock their Glasgow counterparts.
However, there was one fan who stated that he felt sorry for Caixinha as he joins a club that is struggling in the Scottish Premiership.
Furthermore, the recently-promoted side have also been beaten on three occasions by their bitter rivals as they could inflict a fourth on Sunday.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
After the debacle of how Warburton left Sevco, can anyone be sure Caixinha even knows he's agreed to join Sevco.

Is it true Pedro Caixinha has Ronny Deila posters on his walls?

In other Celtic news, this midfield duo should be axed for the clash against Rangers on Sunday.
