Celtic fans on social media have torn into Hoops winger James Forrest’s performance in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers, which ended 4-0 to the Bhoys.
Forrest has had an excellent season under Brendan Rodgers, scoring 16 goals this season, and is a candidate to be named player of the year, but he has never had a good game against Rangers, and this continued at Hampden Park.
One fan was so unimpressed with the 26-year-old that he claimed he had a heart ‘the size of a smartie’, and despite his pass setting up the Tom Rogic goal which opened the scoring for the Hoops fans were not impressed with Forrest’s performance.
In fact, so poor was Forrest in the eyes of fans that many wanted sub Patrick Roberts to replace him, and fans did eventually get their wish late on.
Forrest stayed on however, but the critics would have been given more ammunition when he missed a great chance to make it 4-0 to the Hoops in the second-half.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Forrest’s performance:
I’ll say it now, watch Forrest. Heart the size of a smartie.

Roberts should be on for the second half, Forrest hasn't really had the beating of his man so far

Keep the heed. Forrest is dreadful, just like every other *Rangers game he's played in. Roberts not being on the pitch is a scandal.

It will be interesting to see if Forrest keeps his place in the Hoops side for the next Old Firm clash, which is set to take place in two weeks’ time, chances are that the Hoops boss will allow the player to keep his place in the team.
