'Breath of fresh air', 'Stormer' - Celtic fans rave about 26-year-old display v Motherwell

Celtic fans on Twitter have been impressed with the performance of Hoops goalkeeper Scott Bain against Motherwell at Fir Park, in the match which ended 0-0.

The on-loan signing from Dundee kept his place in the first team after his excellent debut in the 3-2 win over Rangers, and he impressed fans with some of the saves he made against the Steelmen, particularly the ones from a Curtis Main header and a free-kick by the same player.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Bain’s performance against Motherwell:

The 26-year-old joined the Hoops on-loan from Dundee in January, after a knee injury suffered by Craig Gordon ruled him out for the long-term.

The player had previously moved to Hibernian in the short term after a fall out with Dundee boss Neil McCann, but as he did not play for Neil Lennon’s side he was able to join the Hoops.

Bain had to play second fiddle to Dorus de Vries until de Vries suffered a knee injury, but since starting in the Old Firm match Bain has looked comfortable in goals for the Hoops.

Only time will tell if the player returns to Celtic Park next season, but Hoops boss has indicated, as reported by BBC Sport, that he would like to sign the player on a permanent deal.
