Celtic fans react on Twitter to Christie display v Ross County

By Harvey Byrne

Ryan Christie started in Celtic’s midfield against Ross County on Wednesday evening – and Hoops fans on Twitter were impressed by what they saw.

The 21-year-old gave a performance well above his years in the 2-0 victory, which saw goals from Erik Sviatchenko and Stuart Armstrong.

The young star showed some good technical ability with a number of good first touches, while he also looked assured once the ball was at his feet.

Some of his passes were lacking in the victory, but that will come with more experience of playing at the highest level in Scotland.

Celtic fans also focused on the positives and a number of supporters on social media shared that they were impressed by the emerging star.

Celtic made the decision to bring Christie in from Inverness for £500,000 in the summer of 2015 at the age of 20.

The young starlet has played 13 times for the Scottish giants and would appear to be a worthwhile investment so far.

Fans will now be hoping that Christie gets more time in the first team squad, as they will be keen to see a young player fulfil his potential at Celtic.
