Celtic fans are disappointed with Scotland manager Gordon Strachan on Twitter after he called up former Celtic star Charlie Mulgrew.
The 30-year-old utility player has made just five appearances for new side Blackburn this season, after moving to the Lancashire outfit from Celtic in the summer.
Despite his lack of game time, the left footer has been called up by Strachan in a late move by the Scotland boss ahead of Friday’s home nations clash against England at Wembley.
Scotland will be looking to get back on track in their quest to gain qualification from Group F of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, after losing to Slovakia 3-0.
Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter in surprised fashion to see their former star join up with Strachan’s squad, as they prepare to put a dent in England’s chances of finishing top of the group.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Mulgrew has long been a favourite of Strachan, and is able to play at left-back, centre-back and in the middle of the park.
Blackburn’s number 14 impressed Strachan when he saw him play left back for Rovers at Aston Villa on Saturday.
In other Celtic news, fans have reacted hilariously on Twitter to the latest Joey Barton development.
