Celtic fans react on Twitter to Griffiths display against Rangers

By Will Butcher

Celtic fans are elated with Leigh Griffiths on Twitter after he starred for Brendan Rodgers’ team in their 5-1 hammering of Old Firm rivals Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.

Scotland international Griffiths came into the side in only one change made by manager Rodgers, as Moussa Dembele suffered a hamstring injury against the Gers last time out.

The 26-year-old scored his 15th goal of the season for the Scottish Champions with an unstoppable strike midway through the first half that flew past Wes Foderingham.

He doubled the Bhoys’ lead as they went on to win 5-1 against their bitter rivals in the league showdown, spearheading Celtic’s attack with aplomb throughout the match.

His quality proved too much for Danny Wilson and Clint Hill, despite only starting his first Celtic match since December 28 as he continues to play second fiddle to Dembele.
