Celtic fans were unimpressed with Liam Henderson on Twitter on Saturday as the playmaker failed to shine after stepping into Tom Rogic’s shoes.
The Celtic academy graduate came into the side after Australia international Rogic went under the knife to fix his ankle injury, but failed to impress despite the thumping 6-0 Scottish Cup win over Inverness.
Henderson, 20, struggled to keep possession of the ball despite getting in all the right areas, as well appearing to be greedy in the final third by getting a number of shots away before being substituted in the 66th minute.
The Hoops secured a safe passage into the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup, thanks to a rare Mikael Lustig goal and a hat-trick from Moussa Dembele before Kieran Tierney and Scott Brown scored late on, but Henderson was inconsistent.
Celtic fans reacted on Twitter to the performance of their number 53, with many claiming that he should not be in the side while Rogic remains sidelined.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Liam Henderson flatters to deceive for me. Never delivers the final ball enough. Far too wasteful

Liam Henderson – is a superb player. Needs to learn how to finish consistently. He's only young.

Making his debut back in December 2013, Henderson has gone on to make 33 league and cup appearances for the Hoops as well as loan spells with Rosenborg, Hibernian and Hearts.
The youngster will be looking for another opportunity to impress as he looks to keep Rogic out of the side when he recovers from his operation.
