Celtic fans react on Twitter to new Sutton dig at Warburton

By Harvey Byrne

Celtic fans on Twitter have been highly amused by Chris Sutton’s latest dig at former Rangers boss Mark Warburton.

The 44-year-old former Hoops striker is often fairly open with his words and certainly isn’t a pundit who shies away from what they truly feel.

Now, on Friday afternoon Sutton took a new swipe at Warburton on his personal Twitter account, stating that Celtic were later announcing if they had lost another 10 games the league would be closer due to the “randomness” of football.

The dig specifically comes in Sutton’s use of the word “randomness” which follows on from when Warburton used the same word on multiple occasions to describe his side’s 1-1 draw at home against Ross County in February.

Now, Celtic fans who have also often been vocal of their feelings towards their fierce rivals former boss have been delighted by Sutton’s latest swipe on social media.

One fan claimed that Sutton was so “sassy” while others simply replied with the crying with laughter emoji.

The rivalry between Celtic and Rangers is clearly intense both on and off the pitch and one who is certainly on the Hoops’ side is Sutton.

Fans are clearly loving his digs at their fierce rivals and many will be hoping he continues in a similar vein with new boss Pedro Caixinha.

In other Celtic news, Brendan Rodgers believes this midfielder struggled in the midweek draw against Partick Thistle.
