By Will Butcher

Celtic fans have ridiculed Rangers on Twitter after hearing that Kenny Miller will be offered a new deal to stay with Pedro Caixinha’s side.

The Daily Record claim that the veteran striker will be offered a new deal to remain at Ibrox for the 2017-18 season, with his current deal set to expire in just over a month’s time.

Miller is Ranger’s top scorer in the Scottish Premiership this season, with nine goals.

The 37-year-old, who played for Celtic for a year in 2006-07, has featured in all five encounters against the Gers’ Old Firm rivals this season and is expected to start on Saturday as the two sides do battle for a sixth time.

Celtic fans have mocked their bitter rivals on Twitter after hearing of a potential new deal for the journeyman striker.
