Kieran Tierney played a starring role as Celtic extended their unbeaten run in domestic competitions at the expense of Hamilton on Saturday – and fans on Twitter were thrilled with his display.

The 19-year-old gave his all for his side during their 2-0 victory in the Scottish Premiership, and was a constant nuisance to Hamilton’s defenders on the left-hand side.

Tierney was always looking to get involved on the break for the home side, but it was goalscorer Moussa Dembele who will grab the headlines with his brace.

Dembele gave Celtic the lead just moments before half-time with a superb long-range strike, before he converted a second-half penalty after the spirited Tierney was felled in the box.

Celtic fans took to social media following the game to praise Tierney for his display in the victory.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

From his 27 appearances for Celtic this season in all competitions, Tierney has scored one goal and contributed 10 assists.

He missed a large part of the season due to a cruciate ligament injury, but he has since burst back onto the scene and picked up where he left off beforehand with an impressive run of form.
