'Rotten', 'Miles off the pace' - Celtic fans slam one player for performance v Kilmarnock

By Danny Wright

Celtic fans on Twitter have slammed Tom Rogic for his performance in the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Parkhead on Saturday.

Rogic, 24, failed to follow up his masterclass at Aberdeen on Wednesday night as Brendan Rodgers’ side lost ground in their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership with the Dons beating Ross County to move within one point of the Bhoys.

The Australia international midfielder was named to start his second game in a row against Killie, who were high on confidence after earning a late draw against Rangers at Ibrox in midweek.

Steve Clarke’s side were once again able to earn a point against one of the Glasgow clubs as Jordan Jones’ 60th minute strike cancelled out Leigh Griffiths’ first-half opener.

Rodgers opted to make a number of changes to his side ahead of the game, perhaps with one eye on the clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, but Rogic was one player who kept his spot after tearing apart Aberdeen.

However according to the fans he was not anywhere near that sort of form against Killie, with one saying that his display was “rotten”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Rogic had made 20 appearances across all competitions for Celtic this season, scoring four goals and supplying six assists in the process.

He was unable to add to those stats against Kilmarnock and with Rodgers likely to make changes ahead of the game against Bayern, he may have to make do with a spot on the bench in the make-or-break Champions League group stage tie.

In other Celtic news, Chris Sutton has been critical of his Hoops fan favourite, comparing him to a £52million Premier League player.
