'Invisible man', '1 trick pony' - Celtic fans destroy one player after comments on Rangers clash

Scott Sinclair’s comments ahead of the Old Firm derby haven’t gone down too well with Celtic supporters who have been venting on social media.

The Hoops ace was a revelation at Park Head last season when he arrived from Aston Villa and became an instant hit with the fans for his forays from the centre of the park and his ability to find the back of the net.

But it would seem that the supporters’ affections for the 28-year-old have waned throughout the current campaign, and feel his standards have dropped.

Speaking pre-match, Sinclair was quoted as saying on Celtic’s official Twitter feed: “It’s a big game and for players, when we play in these games, we give it our all and enjoy the occasion.”

In spite of the sentiments of the fans, it must be noted that the former Manchester City man is still the club’s joint-top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions – not bad for a winger who is supposedly out of form and with eight more goals he will equal last season’s tally of 25.

One supporter stated that the winger was a one-season wonder, and another added to the conversation that they believed Sinclair hadn’t played well since the game against Hibernian.
