Celtic handed ‘massive boost’ by ‘perfect’ David Turnbull update – Phillips
Kevin Phillips has insisted Celtic are set for a “massive boost” with David Turnbull close to a return from injury.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Sunderland striker admitted the 22-year-old’s comeback is “perfect timing” for the Bhoys.
As quoted by the Scotsman last Thursday (10 March), Ange Postecoglou confirmed Turnbull is set to return to full training this week after his lengthy layoff.

The attacking midfielder has been out since suffering a hamstring injury back in December.
Phillips suggested the rest of the Celtic dressing room may be getting “nervy and edgy” as they head into the final weeks of the season.
He insisted Turnbull’s return would give everyone at Parkhead a “huge lift”.
Phillips told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “It’s perfect timing for this time of season and the run-in.
“To get your best players back gives everyone a huge lift. It’s always critical they come back with that experience and help the players.
“When everyone might start to get a little bit nervy and edgy, to have one of your best players back calms everyone down.
“It’s a massive boost from their point of view.”
Turnbull had already played 34 times for Celtic prior to his injury setback.
He has missed the Hoops’ last 12 Premiership fixtures and all their Scottish Cup games.

He scored nine goals and contributed a further seven assists before his layoff.
Celtic face Ross County on Saturday (19 March) before travelling to Rangers for a Glasgow Derby after the international break.
